Size 10 Bedspread Weight Thread

Size 7 Steel Hook

Finished Size 5 1/2 inches across

Size 30 Fine Weight Thread

Size 10 Steel Hook

Finished Size 4 inches across


Chain 10, slip stitch into the first chain forming a ring


Rd 1: ch 3, counts as the first dc, 23 dc's into the ring, close with slip stitch into the top of the first ch 3 (24 dc's)


Rd 2: sc in same stitch as joining, ch 5, sc into same space ( loop made), sc in next 3 stitches, *make loop in next sc, sc in next 3 stitches* repeat from * to * 4 more times close with ss in the sc of the first loop (6 loops, 6 sets of 3 sc's )


Rd 3: ss into first loop, ch 3 counts as first dc, ch 2, 2 dc; ch 2, sc into second sc of the first 3 sc set, ch 2; *in next loop work: 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc ; ch 2, sc into second sc of the next 3 sc set, ch 2* repeat from * to * 4 more times close with ss into the top of the first ch 3.


Rd 4: ss to ch 2 space, ch 4 ( counts as 1 dc plus ch 1) dc, ch 1, ch 2, dc 1, ch 1, dc, ch 1 dc; ch 1, sc into next 2 ch space, ch 1, sc into next 2 ch space, ch 1; in next ch 2 space work ; *dc, ch 1, dc ch 1, dc, ch 2, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc; ch 1 sc into next 2 ch space, ch 1, sc into next 2 ch space, ch 1* Repeat from * to * 4 more times, close with ss into top of first ch 3.


Rd 5: ss into the back loops of the next 4 stitches, *[ Into the next 2 ch space work: 1 sc, 2 dc; chain 8, ss into 4th stitch from the hook (picot made) ch 6, ss into 4th ch from hook: twice (three picots made) ch 5, returning to the same 2 ch space, work: 2 dc, 1 sc]; [ ch 4, skip the next 3 ch 1 spaces; into the next ch 1, work: sc, ch 4 sc, , ch 5, sc, ch 4, sc; ch 4, skip the next 3 1 ch spaces] * Work *to* 5 more times, ss into first ss of round, tie off.
